Tess Coady started snowboarding at 9 years of age. She was training as a high performance gymnast and also competed at state level in long jump before her family spent a week in Mt Buller where she instantly fell in love with snowboarding.

She  has participated in competitions for the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour and the FIS since 2013 . She won in August 2014 at the Australian Rookie Fest 2014 in Thredbo in slopestyle her first victory.

At the beginning of the 2016/17 season  Tess won the slopestyle at the national junior championships in Thredbo and also the thredbo slopestyle the third and Thredbo Big Air the second place. 

She finished in sixth place at her debut in the Snowboard World Cup in February 2017 in Mammoth in slopestyle.

At the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada she came 21st in the Big Air and 11th in the Slopestyle. In March 2017 she came 2nd in slopestyle at the Spring Battle in Flachauwinkl . 

Tess won gold in slopestyle and big air at the 2017 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Špindler?v Mlýn.

Tess is certainly a star on the rise going in to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.
