Danielle Scott

Aerial Skier

Sydney born, the daughter of a former racing car driver and by age 7, the youngest athlete to be offered an scholarship to the AIS, Dani Scott adds ‘one of Australia’s best medal chances’ to that list as she heads to Pyeongchang.

While she may have retired from elite level gymnastics at 13, Dani still had the ‘bug’ for sport and competition. Down to earth and as in love with the snow and the surf as we are, we are stoked to get to work with Dani after she chose Aerials when five-time Olympian Jacqui Cooper came knocking at her door.

Since her first World Cup in 2012, she has been a regular in finals and took home a bronze medal in Norway in 2013.  Making her Olympic debut at Sochi in 2014, Dani just missed out on the finals in a tie break.

The year after Dani was the most consistent Australian Aerial Skier, finishing third that season, highlighted with her first World Cup win in Moscow.

In 2015/16 Dani was our highest ranking female athlete, finishing that season second in the world and taking home the silver medal in Dear Valley in 2016.

Again in 2017, Dani achieved the best result of the Australian Aerial Skiers at the World Championships in Sierra Nevada, winning silver. Showing her consistency again, she also finished ranked second on the World Cup standings with a swag of World Cup medals, including a gold in Beida Lake.

Coming into 17/18, Dani has a tally of 26 World Cups, bringing home two gold and seven silver medals and is going in strong to the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.
