Five days down and two medals already in Aussie hands.

Some amazing athletes repping the green and gold today when the Snowboard Cross, Skeleton, Alpine Skiing and Aerials all kick off.

Snowboard Cross
With the full Aussie men's Snowboard Cross contingent riding today, everyone will be on the edge of their seats here at XTM and no doubt around the country.

Chumpy is making his third Olympic appearance, teammates Jarryd Hughes and Cam Bolton are both backing it up from Sochi, and in his Olympic rookie year, we have Adam Lambert rounding out the team. With Pullin, Hughes and Lambert all within the top 10 on the world standings, today's event is going to be epic! You can tune in for Qualifications from 1.00pm AEDT and the final will kick off at 3.30pm AEDT, with the the gold medal race around 4.45pm AEDT.


Lydia launched her fifth Olympic campaign today when she and the Australian women’s aerials team kick off with the women’s qualifications at 10pm AEDT at Phoenix Snow Park. Sochi 2014 teammates Danielle Scott, Samantha Wells and Laura Peel will join her at the top of the mountain.

Cross country
The Aussie women’s cross country quartet of Barbara Jezersek, Jessica Yeaton, Aimee Watson and Casey Wright will be returning to the Alpensia Cross Country Centre for the 10km Free ski.
The event starts at 5.30pm AEDT.

Alpine Skiing
Weather got in the way of yesterday’s events but Harry Laidlaw will make his Olympic debut today in the Men’s Downhill today. Competition gets underway at the Jeongseon Alpine Centre at 1.30pm AEDT.

Making his second Games campaign, John Farrow kicks off the luge competition today at the Alpensia Sliding Centre. Competiton starts at midday AEDT.

XTM’s own Al Dower will be on the ground in Pyeongchang for the Games, cheering on  the team and sending back all the news as it happens.
