Australia’s first male Aerial Skiier, Dave Morris makes his third Winter Olympic campaign tonight and should be watched for more than one reason.

“I have retired 3 times now. So if I'm still here; I can't be trusted."

Determination and character – Dave has both in bucket loads.

Landing some of his hardest tricks in the lead up to the Pyeongchang Winter Games, Dave and his coaches have a very different plan and mindset coming in to these Games.

“My first Olympics in Vancouver I was just excited to be there. I deserved to be there but no one expected me to turn up. Qualified at the last minute, I was like, “Wow this is overwhelming! All this stuff happening!”

"And the next one, I was there for business. I wanted to get a result and we got what we wanted.

"This round the result isn't as important; which sounds strange to say.

"But when I watched Lydia at the last games - she went for 3 flips and 4 twists and just bridged the gap between boys and girls in the sport; which is ridiculous.

"Her doing that, she was there to do that jump regardless of the result. She wanted to do something for her and for the sport.

"And I learned a lot from that. I don't want to just turn up with a uniform. I want to do something that no Aussie’s done; that very few people in the world have done.

And I just want to show everyone that I’ve trained hard and I deserve to be there.”

We definitely think you do, buddy. Looking forward to seeing Dave show the world what he has got in the qualifications tomorrow night (17th February)

Men's Aerials qualifications kick off from 10pm on day 8, with the finals the following night.
